What order do you set the suits out in, when playing cards?
When playing solitaire or something similar, what order do you set out your cards? You know, when you find an ace in the game you can put it in the top-right corner; but what order do you put the suits in?
I used to put them as: hearts, diamonds, spades then clubs. But now I put them in hearts, clubs, diamonds, spades.
It's just a matter of personal choice really.
Do you set your cards out in a special way? Or do you just go with whatever comes first?
What order do you set the suits out in, when playing cards?
diamonds, hearts, clubs, spades
Reply:No I don't play card games that require that. I play blackjack or texas shootout. But if I did I am sure I would have a habit that would always stay the same. Very predictable.
Reply:I don't have a particular preference. I just start from the left and go to the right.
Reply:Fist one up goes to the left.

I received a forward with a playing cards and david copperfield. How did it work?
There are six face cards in a row. It says to pick one card. Just look at it, don't touch it or put the mouse over it. Then when you scroll down it shows David Copperfields face and says to look into his eyes thinking of the card. Then scroll down again and your card will be gone from the six. Does anyone know how this works? It happens every time.
I received a forward with a playing cards and david copperfield. How did it work?
The cards that you see in the beginning are all changed. None of them stay the same, so it doesn't matter which one you pick.
Reply:Look closely at the cards. The six cards are different each time. None of the suits are the same. So no matter which card you pick, the exact card you chose will not be there!

Why are there jokers in a deck of playing cards?
What's the history behind them?
Why are there jokers in a deck of playing cards?
The joker is an American innovation. Created for the Alsatian game of Euchre, it spread to Europe from America along with the spread of Poker. The joker was ideated around 1865 by Samuel Hart. The initial denomination of the card was Best or Imperial Bower (Bauer or Boer in German language is the name of the jack of trump in the game of Euchre). From the Alsatian name of the game, Juker, derived the actual appellative of the card. Although the joker card often bears the image of a fool (possibly derived from the stereotypical village idiot), which is one of the images of the Tarot deck, it is not believed that there is any relation. In contemporary decks, one of the two jokers is often more colorful or more intricately detailed than the other, though this feature is not used in most card games. The two jokers are often differentiated as "Big" and "Little," or more commonly, "Red" and "Black." In many card games the jokers are not used. Unlike face cards, the design of jokers varies widely. Many manufacturers use them to carry trademark designs.
Reply:In some games, the JOKERS are considered "wild". Sometimes the JOKERS are used for replacement cards (incase you accidentally loose one). Other wise, they're useless.
Reply:In the 1860's Euchre became popular in Great Britain. They played the game with an additional trump card that out trumped any other suit. It was called the Imperial Bower. Throughout time it has morphed into what we know as a Joker. In some poker and other games the "Joker" is wild.

How do you create a deck of playing cards costume out of fabric?
Buy one?
Reply:hmmm...maybe ... cover a cardboard cutout w/ material that's painted like a card. (make two for front and back) add straps for the shoulders-wear white, red, blue or black leotards underneath.
you could probably nix the fabric and make it out of heavy posterboard.
Reply:Get very good fusible interfacing to make the fabric stiff. You can use stitch witchery to attach other fabric to the "card" for the design to assemble quickly. Otherwise, I'd suggest fabric paint or iron-on transfer paper. If you want to make a very fancy costume, assemble it like a quilt by piecing all of the fabric together.
Reply:You could rent an over head projector,Put the material on the wall, and the picture of the card in the projector then it will show up on the material, and you paint them yourself. or you could make a 8X11 copy of a card and cut it in threes, take it to Staples and have them make iron on copies for you, you would have to know how big they can to it,Then you would match the card up on the material and iron them on.

If you miss your first card // for example and there are a total of 2 cards u have to drink 2x, if there are 5 u drink 5 ETC... as you run outta cards you take away a row. you end up with just 1 pile, gets you so wasted.

Everyone sits in a circle or closest thing to a circle. Actually you don't even have to sit in a circle as long as you can remember who's turn it is. The person who had the idea to play this wonderful game goes first.
The first player says "I Never..." followed by an event that he or she may or may not have done. For example "I Never cheated on a test". If anyone playing HAS done the event like cheated on a test, they would have to drink. Then it goes to the next person and continues in the same manner until you pass out or know too much about your buddy and his pet gerbil.
Note: This game is a perfect ice breaker and you can strategically state "I Never's" to find out how wild someone is.
another good one that would get you guys plastered is watching south park the movie and taking a shot for every time they cuss. hehe.

Reply:Shot blackjack. It's just like blackjack, but you're betting with shots of whatever. The way my friends and I play the dealer has something weaker or half shots, and is usually the person who has the greatest tolerance. The alternative is having no one as actual dealer. In that someone deals out all the cards, but gives out an extra set to their right. Then everyone plays, and at the end someone just plays how the dealer would play (the dealer is a robot, he/she can only hit below 17, and must stay for 17 and above). The person who distributed the cards is still playing the dealer, aka the extra pair of cards. If you lose to the dealer you take a shot.

Whats the best way to build a structure of playing cards to hold the most weight?
The structure cannot weigh more than 60 grams and have a height of between 7.5 to 9".
Whats the best way to build a structure of playing cards to hold the most weight?
Place the cards long-edge together to form short, squat triangles. If you can tape the edges, that would be best. Otherwise, you need some way to insure that the cards don't slip against each other; if you can rough up the surfaces that might work.

How and who came up with the number and sign system for playing cards?
Why did they decide to use Aces, Jacks, Queens and Kings. What is a Jack, and an Ace? Why put Jokers in the deck? Why did they pick clubs, hearts, diamonds, and spades for shapes; verses, squares, circles, stars, and rectangles? Thanks.
How and who came up with the number and sign system for playing cards?
The first playing cards are thought to have originated in ancient China, although those cards would bare no resemblance to the cards we are used to seeing. Modern playing cards are derived from the ancient tarot deck. It is unclear when they first appeared in Europe, but there is evidence dating them back to the 1500's, and references to them as far back as the 1300's.
Each of the suits represent a different aspect of consciousness. Hearts represent love, relationships, and emotions. Diamonds represent money, work, and general fortune. The spades represent conflict, rational thought and decisions and how they are communicated. Clubs represent action, new direction and enterprise, change.
The face cards are representative of people and were used by ancient "fortunetellers" to determine who was exerting influence in a person's life. Although they are portrayed as royalty and aristocracy, they were used by and meant to be representative of common people. The aristocratic rank and the gender of the card spoke more about their personality and influence than their actual power or gender.
In a tarot deck, there are 4 face cards, king, queen, knight and page. The jack is a result of the combination of knight and page. Aces are equal to 1. Jokers were added to be used as wild cards or replacements for lost cards.
I think that covers all of your questions. I hope this helps!
Reply:well i know that with the jokers, they didnt start using them til quite late on! they used to have blank cards and then when there were jests they decided to put them in instead!

I realize they are washable ,but that does not mean you can toss them in bucket of water. They can warp or bend. Plus they are kinda exspensive.
Anyone have a good way to clean washable playing cards?
Cleaning Playing Cards
You can quick-clean most household playing cards by putting them into a paper bag and adding several tablespoons of flour, talcum powder or cornstarch. Shake well. Then wipe off each card with a paper towel.
You can also try this home-style method for removing fingerprints: Rub the card with a piece of white bread, then wipe clean with a dry cloth. Keep in mind that using water or solvents on inexpensive cards is likely to cause warping; if your cards are stained or they feel greasy, it may be time to buy a new deck.
However, if you have the better grade plastic-coated cards, you can dampen a clean cloth with a solution of cold water and several drops of mild soap (not detergent). Rub the damp cloth over both sides of the card, then dry ASAP with another soft, clean, dry cloth. Let the cards air-dry completely before you put them away

I have printed onto card some playing cards of my own design and now want to protect them by laminating them?
If I laminate the A4 sheet that they are on and then cut the cards out will the laminate still stay on the cards or just peel away. I know you can buy credit card size laminating pouches, but if i buy these will they work on a laminator that accepts A4 pouches? I dont own a laminator yet and dont want to buy one if this idea wont work
I have printed onto card some playing cards of my own design and now want to protect them by laminating them?
Why don't you go to or make a call to Staples and ask them that question. They have laminating eqpt. there and can give you an idea on how it's done, how big they can do it,the cost and all of the questions you put on here.
Reply:Hmmh, you'd need to be really careful cutting them out so they don't look jaggedy. Try making the design the size of the ID/credit card size.
Reply:Did you know you can actually buy a roll of laminating sheet, probably about 10-20 m long. Then just cut it to the size you desire =]. Make the cards the size you want and then cut the laminating sheet into bits the right size =]

If four cards are drawn from a standard deck of 52 playing cards and not replaced?
, find the probability of getting at least one heart.
I've been trying to figure this out for an hour and it's the last question on my stat hw. I'm sure I'm making it much harder than it actually is, but help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
If four cards are drawn from a standard deck of 52 playing cards and not replaced?
Look at this backwards. The probability of getting at least one heart is 1 minus the probability that you get no hearts at all.
Probability that first card is not a heart = 39/52
Probability that second card is not a heart = 38/51
Probability that third card is not a heart = 37/50
Probability that fourth card is not a heart = 36/49
Multiply (these are independent probabilities) = 6327/20825
1 - 6327/20825 = 14498/20825 approx 70% chance
Reply:P(w/o replacing, 4 cards drawn, at least one heart)
= 1 -- P(no hearts drawn)
= 1 -- 39/52*38/51*37/50
= 1 -- 54834/132600
= 77766/132600
= 0.5865
Reply:so the possibility of the four cards being a heart is 13/52
so 13-4=9
so
9/52?
im not sure but i think so
good luck(:
Reply:you got a 25% chance of drawing a heart
Reply:1/13
Reply:as long as you don`t know which card this 4 are,
make no different .
13 /52 = 1 /4
Reply:The probability or getting at least one heart would be a 1 in 4 cance because the deck of 52 is split evenly with 13 hearts, 13 diamonds, 13 clubs and 13 spades. so the answer is 1 in 4 or 25%

How do you tear a deck of playing cards in half?
I have pretty good hand strength from rock climbing and using hand grippers. But is there a certain technique that is the best or easiest?
How do you tear a deck of playing cards in half?
I am not too sure, but i think it has to do with physics, try pushing in on the cards, bending them, then try and rip and pull on them at the same time, i know it will work with a phone book

What do they call the playing cards/magic cards with very subtle differences on their patterned backs?
Such as the suits have a very subtle difference in each corner and the numbers are shown by circles in each of the four corners.
Whats their names and where can you buy them.
What do they call the playing cards/magic cards with very subtle differences on their patterned backs?
there called marked cards, usually found in joke shops
Reply:They are marked cards. Somewhere around I have a deck called "Deland's Automatic Playing Cards" that have several marking features in them. First, the deck has a patterned back, but when you learn how to read them, you can tell exactly what card it is. Second, the deck was cut with a slight taper, so a card is slightly wider at one end than at the other --- so you can turn cards 180 degrees and make them easy to pull from the deck. Third, the deck had a stacking scheme that would allow you to read a different "dial" on the back of the card that would let you know where some other cards were in the deck... and it was stacked perfectly so that if you dealt the deck out to four players, each player would have a perfect bridge hand (e.g. 13 cards, all in the same suit) with the dealer holding spades.
You can buy them in magic/joke/hobby shops.

Where can I find free online tips for stacking playing cards?
^^;; Don't have a lot of money but I thought it seemed like something fun to try and I just want some help getting started.
Where can I find free online tips for stacking playing cards?
The time period for answering is expired, but I'm going to take a shot at this one anyway. My father was an accomplished magician. Card stacking requires hours and hours of practice. It is best learned in person. However, here is a site that can help you get started:

What computer programs can be used to design playing cards?
The game is similar to UNO, I have been using microsoft front page without much success; (tears and cursing). Is there a better less embarassing way? The final result should be a Jpeg picture.
I am a total novice.
What computer programs can be used to design playing cards?
It depends on what your doing, your question isn't really clear to me. If your trying to design a deck of cards I would use a photo editing software like photoshop. If you want to make the game itself you might have to do something like flash with actionscript, but that all seems pretty advanced for you. I might be able to help you more specifically for you if your question was clearer to me.
Reply:Hi, designing a card game is fun. But it's challenging to know how to put it together! I wouldn't use Microsoft Front page, that's why that didn't work.
I started to use a program called Macromedia Flash. But that's as far as I've gone!! It's hard to know if Flash is the best program to use?? Also how do you make it work in flash, special actionscript language??
I wouldn't know what to put to make it work, is there any help on using flash actionscript to create a successfull card game, that you can proudly play again and again?
Maybe Kalyke, would you know any helpful websites or links, books, tips or something to assist in using flash to create a successfull card game? how to make it work etc...
Thanks, Laura
Also I already have the images that i have created for the card game, just knowing how to make the actionscript work so the game plays correctly over and over would be a dream come true!!!

Halloween Costume, perferably something to do with Playing Cards?
I'm known in my school for being a card shark. I'll be playing with some of my friends and then all of the sudden tell everyone what cards they have and what they are looking for. I'd like to be a poker player or something. I'm open to other ideas though! I really don't want to be something anyone else is going to think of. Last year I was a Tourist. Thanks!

They can be clubs or whatever. But how many are black?
How many black cards are in a deck of playing cards?
26
Reply:EASY- 26 =D
Reply:Usually half.
A "standard" deck of cards, without jokers, would have 26 black cards.
But you see, it depends on the game. Poker rules call for use of a 52 card deck, but allow the optional insertion of one or two jokers. Most decks come with two jokers in the package, one is black %26amp; white, and the other is multi-colored. Canasta uses 108 cards; basically two standard decks plus eight jokers. There are some games wich call for different decks, removing some of the cards. Old Maid can be played with a standard deck with one of the queens removed.
Now, if you buying cards under one of England's old, repealed, tax laws, you would have to pay a tax on the Ace of Spades. To avoid this tax, some buyers would purchase a deck without the ace, but since you cannot play any games without the Ace of Spades, that was considered a stupid concept, giving us the term "not playing with a full deck."

Reply:well that would be half of a deck. a deck is 52 cards. 52 divided by 2 equals... come on you can do it!
Reply:Technically I think it 28, counting the two Black Jokers, if, they black in the deck you use. If, not, there are 26.
I looked at Jokers on the net, most I seen have color, see link. So, it probably 26.

Reply:There are no black cards in a deck of cards. The cards are usually white with black suits.
Reply:26. Half of them are black, the other half are red. Since there are 52 cards in a pack, the equation 52 Divided by 2 equals number of black cards, which is 26. This equation assumes you are talking about a full deck of traditional playing cards.
Reply:26 not including jokers, which I guess are not either color, so... yeah 26.

Are the face card designs of playing cards copyrighted material?
I've examined decks made by different makers, namely Bee and Bicycle, and each face card is the exact same design as its counterpart in the other deck. I'd imagine if there was a copyright, it's probably expired long ago. Can anyone confirm this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanx, J Paul.
Are the face card designs of playing cards copyrighted material?
It looks like a company called the United States Playing Card Company owns both Bee and Bicycle cards. They have a copyright statement that explains that they own the trademark for the backings of various playing cards as well as joker and ace designs. I think if you wanted to be sure about the copyright of the other face cards in their decks you could contact the company directly.
Reply:Copyright expires after 100 years. So, be careful and Bicycle and Bee are more than copyrighted.. They are a trademark.

Should Tarot cards be sold in the USA for playing actual card games?
In European countries such as France, there are Tarot cards sold to play actual card games similar to Spades and Bridge. According to most historians, Tarot cards were originally intended for card games and not for divination. However in countries such as the US, Tarot cards are only sold for fortune telling purposes and most Americans only associate Tarot with divination. Do you believe this situation should change? Would you play actual card games with Tarot? Should Tarot publishers supply game rules with Tarot decks?
Should Tarot cards be sold in the USA for playing actual card games?
As a tarot reader, I would love to have instructions for the game Tarocci (sp?). I love to play cards, in any shape or form.
Any cards, anything as that goes, can be used for divination.
Situation change? well, add instructions for the game, but don't exclude the divination use of the cards.
Reply:I use tarot cards for divination and I don't think they should be used for a game. Tarot cards have a different energy than regular playing cards do and it wouldn't be a good idea. Tarot cards today are different than Tarot cards in history, they like everything else have evolved.
Reply:I agree, tarot cards are not for game play. They have a purpose and any use outside that purpose will foul them for their intended use. Other than when you are told by the reader to shuffle/cut/select the cards no one but the reader(owner) of the deck should handle them as this will allow them to absorb energies from outside sources and make it hard on the owner to get a proper reading from them.

Gambling addiction? Not the casino kind but playing cards with the boys every night!?
What can I do to make this man understand that it is an addiction or am I over reacting and it should be ok for him to be out every night till 2 or 3 am playing cards.
Yes every single night.
I have given up arguing.
Need advice.
Gambling addiction? Not the casino kind but playing cards with the boys every night!?
First of all you have to look at how much he is losing and winning a week... If at week ends he is losing over 100 dollars and he cannot afford it... you need to tell him to STOP!
Now if he's actually just breaking even and losing maybe 50 dollars a week, then let him do it... If you don't mind him going every night... which I would be extremely pissed if I was a girl that every night my man (even if your married) is going out and playing cards. I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life... but when I was younger I use to tell my girlfriend I was going out to play POKER with the guys... In reality I was playing "poke her" just not with no guys... I'm not trying to put thoughts in your head your man is cheating. Maybe he really is playing poker... But if he really is don't you think he would be playing at a casino if he had a real addiction and not just a 100 bucks a night or less?
Good Luck! Tell him more time with you.. or kick him to the curb.
Reply:I have a strong suspicion he is not only gambling. Sorry. You cannot change him. Rehearse the serenity prayer. You'll need it.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
Good Luck

What are the best type of Bicycle playing cards to use?
There are so many different types of cards and i was just wondering what are the best type of Bicycle deck to use...
What are the best type of Bicycle playing cards to use?
the poker ones. thats what i used for card magic. they are brilliant quality cards. in the uk they are fairly expensive so best to buy a brick of them (12 decks)

Reply:The blue ones.
Reply:The red or blue poker cards. They really are great quality and I'm not content playing with any other deck!
Reply:Bicycle cards are just fine to use, but if you want the best cards they make i would go with kem cards. All major casinos use kem cards in there casinos, they are made from plastic insteard of paper, so they last a lot longer and they are hard to mark by others. They can run 15-20 dollars depending on design, they are a little bit smaller then bicycle but they are better cards by far.

What's the best way to throw playing cards?
I've heard about people who can throw cards so hard that they can slice through carrots and bananas. What is the best technique for throwing cards?
What's the best way to throw playing cards?
flick, and let your wrist provide the power, not your arm. so when you flick it, just let your hand fly foward, and then let the momentum of your hand carry the card. put the card between your index and middle finger, and then let go when you think it will do the most damage. its kinda fun. ive sliced though a coulpa bananas, but never carrots. they're too hard.

Reply:sharpen the edges to a razor-point.
Then, throw using your thumb.
Reply:It is easiest to throw them in their unopened box.
Reply:I don't throw my cards. The thought of picking up 52 cards just sounds like too much work!
Reply:Watch Chris Fergueson, the poker pro, throw them. He slices fruit with them.

If you want to cut carrots or bananas, you're going to need a deck made out of metal, with an edge sharpened.

Where can I find a western deck of Plastic Nintendo Playing Cards that I can buy or order in the United States
Before Nintendo made video games, they made playing cards. Although not well known, they still make these cards today, however, they are only physically sold in Japan.
A friend of mine went to Japan, and brought me back a deck.
These cards are perhaps the finest cards that I have ever had the pleasure of using, and I use cards a lot. It is my prized possesion, and I would not sell my Nintendo Playing Cards for any reasonable amount of money, or even most unreasonable amounts.
I am extremely afraid that I will lose a card, or somehow a card will get a crease in it, making the deck useless for standard play.
The cards are made by Nintendo, They have a pink and black backing, and are of the Western style of poker playing cards. They do not have any novelty pictures or logos (like little mermaid playing cards, or pokemon cards) and that is how I like them. They are made of plastic.
Where can I order some, or, short of travelling to Japan, aquire another set.

And i dont mean the old deck of cards that they have out there by all the assorted porn companies like Max Hardcore and Vivid, all these women are outdated and looks like it's from the 80's or even the mid 90's.. me and my bowling buddies are getting tired of the old outdated cards we're looking for some new current stuff but have hard time locating any. Would appreciate some ideas or links.

I don't know the exact numbers but I do believe that most of them were indeed caught, that is little more than half of them.

How do I straighten out (unbend) playing cards?
I have somewhat sweaty hands so when I hold a deck of cards for a while, they get wet. When they dry, they kind of bend in towards the middle of the card. If I hold the deck and bend it up and down, it makes this noise. Sorry if it seems wierd to ya, but I just want to know how to make them straight again.
How do I straighten out (unbend) playing cards?
Its pretty hard to straighten playing cards other than just bending them the opposite way
I would recomend just buying a new deck of cards cause you can find them for around a $1
Reply:Just bend them one by one the other way. Or put them under stacks of really heavy books
Reply:Don't bother, buy plastic...
Reply:put them under a big, heavy stack of books for a couple of days
Reply:Buy hard plastic cards. Copaq and Kem are two good brands to buy. The cards wont bend, and they are washable as well. Decks can last a year or more depending how often they are used. You can get two decks for about 20 dollars or so, but well worth it

What is the origin of 52 card deck of playing cards?
origin of 52 card deck of playing cards?
What is the origin of 52 card deck of playing cards?
The origin of playing cards is obscure, but it is almost certain that they began in China after the invention of paper. Ancient Chinese "money cards" have four "suits": coins (or cash), strings of coins (which may have been misinterpreted as sticks from crude drawings), myriads of strings, and tens of myriads. These were represented by ideograms, with numerals of 2-9 in the first three suits and numerals 1-9 in the "tens of myriads". Wilkinson suggests in The Chinese origin of playing cards that the first cards may have been actual paper currency which were both the tools of gaming and the stakes being played for. The designs on modern Mah Jong tiles and dominoes likely evolved from those earliest playing cards.
It is likely that the ancestors of modern cards arrived in Europe from the Mamelukes of Egypt in the late 1300s, by which time they had already assumed a form very close to those in use today. In particular, the Mameluke deck contained 52 cards comprising four "suits": polo sticks, coins, swords, and cups. Each suit contained ten "spot" cards (cards identified by the number of suit symbols or "pips" they show) and three "court" cards named malik (King), nā'ib malik (Viceroy or Deputy King), and thānī nā'ib (Second or Under-Deputy). The Mameluke court cards showed abstract designs not depicting persons (at least not in any surviving specimens) though they did bear the names of miltary officers.
There is some evidence to suggest that this deck may have evolved from an earlier 48-card deck that had only two court cards per suit, and some further evidence to suggest that earlier Chinese cards brought to Europe may have travelled to Persia, which then influenced the Mameluke and other Egyptian cards of the time before their reappearance in Europe.
Reply:52 weeks. One colour for each season (13 weeks per season).
Joker for extra day. White card (known as "extra joker" in some modern card decks) for extra day in leap years.

Clubs = Summer
Hearts = Autumn

What is the number of possible orderings of a deck of 52 playing cards?
So there are 52 cards, how many possible sequences are there of 52 using each card only once?
What is the number of possible orderings of a deck of 52 playing cards?
That number equals 52! (fifty-two factorial). It may seem surprising that this number (80,658,175,170,943,878,571,660,636,856,... is so big. Comparing that number to some other large numbers, it is greater than the square of Avogadro's number, 6.022 × 1023.
Reply:well i gave up pressin buttons at x9...and at x10 my calc went haywire..but its 2.20am here, so give me a break, and at least i tried...

Reply:Why am I also thinking it's 52 times 52 - ? (52 squared) My other answer is if you were to drop them all on the floor you would only be limited to your brain's imaginings the number of orderings you could have(because you could order them all with your eyes only), but I think there is a mathematical answer which would of course supersede my foolish remarks. I think it's a darned shame there is a practical, down-to-earth, sane and definite answer to this one. It would be so much more fun if you introduced some additional dimension, so the answer would then become an infinite number of orderings... - C. (Quantum mechanics, anyone?)

That's 52! (52 factorial)
You've got 52 choices for the first card, times 51 choices for the second card, times 50 choices for the third card ...
If you have n different numbers to order there are n x (n-1) x .. x 1 ways to do so. In math they write this as n!
If you have y numbers the same, divide n! by y!
For example there are 52 ppl but among these 5 are quintets, there are (52 x 51 x ..x 1) / (5 x 4 x..x 1) ways to order them.
If there are 52 ppl, among these there are 7 groups of quintets, there are (52 x 51 x..x 1) / [7 x (5 x 4 x ..x 1)] ways.
So if you want to order 52 cards where suit doesnt matter, there are 52! / (13 x 4!)

How do you clean playing cards?
Always wanted to know how to keep cards from sticking to each other and how to get the crud off the sides. It's OK if they stay worn in. I just want to have them cleaned without smudging the ink.
How do you clean playing cards?
wipe them off with a little soapy damp rag, dry then use a little baby powder sprinkled on them to make them stop sticking.
Reply:just buy a new pack
Reply:You could always get plastic playing cards. They last about 100x longer than paper cards and you can clean them off very easily with a damp towel. Of course, they are more expensive: anywhere from $5 to $15 a deck.
