Whats the best way to build a structure of playing cards to hold the most weight?

The structure cannot weigh more than 60 grams and have a height of between 7.5 to 9".

Whats the best way to build a structure of playing cards to hold the most weight?
Place the cards long-edge together to form short, squat triangles. If you can tape the edges, that would be best. Otherwise, you need some way to insure that the cards don't slip against each other; if you can rough up the surfaces that might work.

Reply:For a CARD structure to bare weight triangles do not work. In cards triangles are only used for height. In everything else triangles are the standard. However it seems i know what you're building this structure for, and getting help IS CHEATING! Report Abuse

Reply:Use triangles... they are the sturdiest structure.
