What is the real mean of King, Jack, Queen, Ace and Joker in playing cards??

Does the joker really symbolise Jesus and is the queen really Mary???

What is the real mean of King, Jack, Queen, Ace and Joker in playing cards??
I really don't think so, did a wee bit of research and could find nothing suggesting that, check this link:

Reply:The modern playing cards evolved from the Taroca - (Tarot)

These 'ranks' are possibly linked to chess - but in cards the 'moves' are hidden; in chess moves are clearly seen.

In the Tarot- the joker = The Fool represents the innocent journeyman through life (hmm journey woman-- must be PC!!)

however symbolism (esoteric) should not be confused with symbolism (historic) - In that the costumes of the modern court cards are C16th- thus any Queen resembles Mary or Cathrine of Aragon or even Jane Seymour
Reply:I think the Ace is new begginings

The Joker Youth (Male or Female)

The Queen Mature Female

And The King Mature Male
Reply:no, what are you on.
