The guy puts your deck of playing cards in his pocket, asks you what is your favorite card and then pulls that card out of the pocket, hands it to you and then hands you the rest of the deck.
As best that I can remember, the deck is shuffled and all he did was riffle the cards before he put them in his pocket.

It's MAGIC. Sounds like you need to find some sites or books on card tricks.
