This is something of an aside and I am a Pagan, but I believe it is germane to the question and interesting as well. Tex Ritter wrote and sang a song about a deck of cards being a Bible. As he sings, he brings a meaning to each card. I enjoyed the song for many years, then it disappeared on one of our moves.
Is there a deeper meaning to the symbols on playing cards?
haha my friends mom asked that question and yes there is i just don't know what
Reply:i think playing cards are just cards they cant tell futures or reading there just cards is that really so hard to understand?
Reply:I'm not quite sure. My godmother is a psychic and uses the round playing cards to do readings. So there may be. I just know that she doesn't touch tarot cards and has told me not to. When you use them you open so many doors that shouldn't be opened, just like using a Qujia board.
Reply:I had a woman do a reading with playing cards once. It was interesting. She used playing cards instead of tarot cards. Not sure if that is what you mean, but here is a link to a book about it.

Reply:Playing Cards.......
The four suits in playing cards, clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, collectively represent the four elements (wind, fire, water, and earth), the seasons, and cardinal directions. They represent the struggle of opposing forces for victory in life. The thirteen cards in each suit represent the thirteen lunar months. Playing cards originated in Central Asia, and they were introduced into European culture in the 14th century.
